The Reed Switch Sensor Module (KY-021) is a magnetic contact sensor that detects the presence of a magnet using a sealed reed switch. When a magnet comes close to the sensor, the reed switch closes, generating a digital output signal.
Compatible with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi, STM32, and other development boards, the Reed Switch Sensor is widely used for door and window security systems, position detection, limit switches, smart home automation, robotics, and industrial control applications.
Its compact design, low power consumption, and simple interface make it ideal for DIY electronics, IoT projects, and educational use.
