OTTO NINJA is a fun, walking, dancing bipedal robot kit inspired by the popular open-source Otto DIY robot platform - reimagined with a ninja theme (red headband, cape, and expressive googly eyes). Built around an Arduino Nano and 4 micro servo motors, OTTO NINJA can walk, turn, dance to music, make sounds, and detect obstacles using an onboard ultrasonic sensor, all fully programmable and open source.
Assembling OTTO NINJA teaches real mechanical and electronics fundamentals: servo-driven bipedal locomotion, sensor integration, and Arduino programming, wrapped in a character kids and beginners will love bringing to life. Since it is based on an open-source design, its 3D-printable body parts and code can be freely modified and extended, making it an ideal ongoing STEM project rather than a one-time build.
